Rams’ COO Kevin Demoff Not Changing New Logo, Colors Despite Criticism

3 Min Read

Despite some negative reactions from fans, Los Angeles Rams’ COO Kevin Demoff says that the team’s new logos and colors are not going to change, according to ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry.

Demoff, who serves as the team’s chief operating officer, and who has been heading the project for more than two years, says that they plan to continue to move forward with their re-branding efforts despite the heavy criticism from Rams’ fans and Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson.

Demoff seems to be taking the backlash in stride, as he promised to read mean tweets about the team’s rebranding if a telethon fundraiser hosted by the team and local ABC affiliate KABC raised more than $2 million for coronavirus relief efforts, and the fundraiser exceeded that benchmark.

Following the video being posted, Demoff issued a statement to further address the criticism that the team had been receiving about it’s rebranding efforts.

“While it isn’t always the easiest to hear, we value the commentary you have provided on the logo & colors,” Demoff said. “We are excited about the future of our team, our brand & our stadium, but recognize we can always get better through feedback and engagement and appreciate your passion.”

Dickerson, who is a former player for the Rams, has tried to get the Rams to think twice about their rebranding.

“I spoke with the Rams front office on behalf of our great fans and former players,” Dickerson said on his official Twitter page on Sunday. “Unfortunately, the front office is set on their new logos.”

The Rams are calling their new colors, which look like lighter shades of their throwback royal blue and gold colors, “Rams Royal” and “Sol.”

Get used to it, the Rams new colors and logos are here to stay!
