Atlanta Falcons’ running back Todd Gurley and free agent linebacker Clay Matthews, who both played for the Los Angeles Rams last season, say that the team is behind on delivering paychecks, according to ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry.
Gurley took to Twitter to say; “@RamsNFL past due. Send me money ASAP,” on Wednesday, which put the Rams’ error in the public forum.
Matthews added his thoughts in a response to Gurley’s tweet.
You and me both TG! 😤 Better get some interest with that too 📈 https://t.co/E8RIOhg7sH

The Rams released Gurley, who had spent his entire career with the organization, back in March, and he signed with the Falcons shortly after on a one-year, $5.5 million deal.
Per the report, the Rams owed him a $7.55 million roster bonus but they do not have to pay him $2.5 million of that balance.
Matthews, who was cut by the Rams in a move that saved $3.75 million in cap space, is currently an unrestricted free agent. Matthews was reportedly due a fully guaranteed $2 million roster bonus, but his contract has offsetting language for $2 million.
According to ESPN, the Rams believe they are in full compliance with the language in the players’ contracts.
