Philadelphia Eagles veteran right tackle Lane Johnson has tested positive for COVID-19 but says that he feels “strong and ready to go”, per an announcement on Wednesday.

Johnson made the announcement on his official Twitter page, stating the following:

Johnson, 30, along with linebacker Nathan Gerry and tackle Jordan Mailata, were placed on the Reserve-COVID-19 list by the team.

“The Reserve-COVID-19 list was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or has been in close contact with an infected person or persons,” the Eagles said in a statement (h/t ESPN). “Per NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player’s medical status other than referring to roster status.”
