The Kansas City Royals announced that Super Bowl Champion, MVP, and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has joined the team’s ownership group, according to an official team announcement.
“We are very proud and excited to have Patrick as our partner in the ownership group of this franchise” Royals principal owner John Sherman said in the statement (which you can read below). “Along with the rest of Kansas City, I have watched Patrick compete and become an extraordinary leader, both on and off the football field.”
Mahomes inked a 10-year contract extension with the Chiefs worth as much as $503 million earlier this month, so he had some money to play with.
