Washington quarterback Alex Smith is making his way back to the playing field as he continues his recovery from a major leg injury, and is taking another step in that process today.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Smith will be taking his physical with the team today and the expectation is that he will start training camp on the PUP list.
Smith suffered a spiral compound fracture to his tibia and fibula in his right leg during a November 18th, 2018 game against the Houston Texans when he was sacked by Texans’ defensive end J.J. Watt and Texans’ safety Kareem Jackson.
