The Los Angeles Angels are holding their collective breath after another poor outing for pitcher/slugger Shohei Ohtani has prompted the team to send him for an MRI on his pitching arm.
According to CBS Sports, Ohtani reported some discomfort in his arm after struggling, yet again, against the Houston Astros on Sunday.
Ohtani just recently returned to the mound after undergoing Tommy John surgery back in September 2018.
Ohtani only faced six batters during his first start of the season, failing to retire a single batter, and during Sunday’s start he walked five batters in the second inning following a 1-2-3 first inning.
