Cardinals Signing Dre Kirkpatrick

1 Min Read

The Arizona Cardinals are signing veteran free agent cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Kirkpatrick met with the team on Sunday and is landing in Arizona on a one-year deal that will become official once he passes his physical.

Kirkpatrick will help bolster the Cardinals’ defensive backfield following the injury of Robert Alford that will cost his the entire season. Kirkpatrick will also reunite with Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who coached Kirkpatrick during their time together with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Kirkpatrick, 30, played in six games last season before being shelved due to a knee injury.
