Chargers’ Derwin James Expected to Miss ‘Significant Time’ with Knee Injury

1 Min Read

Los Angeles Chargers veteran safety Derwin James is expected to miss ‘significant time’ after James suffered a meniscus tear in practice on Saturday, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

James could miss anywhere from 4-6 weeks or more, depending on what the timelines looks like following surgery, per the report.

If James needs to have a full repair of the meniscus, he could miss three months or more.

James is one of the best safeties in the NFL and without him in the lineup, the Chargers defense will take a tremendous hit.
