The Atlanta Falcons are expected to re-sign veteran safety J.J Wilcox, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.
According to ESPN’s Vaughn McClure, Atlanta is inking Wilcox to a one-year pact, but will first need to pass a physical and a COVID-19 test.
Wilcox, 29, joined the Falcons last offseason, but wasn’t able to take the field for the regular season due to a torn ACL he suffered in July.
Wilcox is now apparently healthy enough to return, and will add solid depth the Falcons defensive backfield.
