The Atlanta Falcons are expected to re-signed veteran tight end Luke Stocker following a recent visit, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Stocker, 32, was released by the team back in March, prior to the Falcons acquiring tight end Hayden Hurst from the Baltimore Ravens. However, with the loss of tight end Austin Hooper in free agency to the Cleveland Browns, the team needed some depth.
Stocker has long been more of a blocker than a receiver, but has also played some time in the backfield as a fullback.
Stocker hauled in only 8 passes for 53 yards for the Falcons last season.
