The Phoenix Suns were an afterthought as the NBA re-started it’s NBA season, a rebuilding team that posed no viable threat to the monsters of the Western Conference.

But, 4 games later and a 4-0 record, the Suns are demanding that the league, fans, and analysts all pay attention to a team that is (finally) on the rise.

The Suns ascension can be attributed to the vast improvement of DeAndre Ayton and the phenomenal play of superstar Devin Booker who is showing the league just how good he is.

“This is how that young man plays all the time and everybody is just getting a chance to see it now,” Suns’ head coach Monty Williams said, according to ArizonaSports.com. “I think it’s like an announcement to the rest of the world who wasn’t paying attention to him.”

Booker has been rising star in the league, but the Suns finally have some pieces around him, such as Ayton, guard Ricky Rubio, and the development of other young stars, that are providing him the support he needs.

“I feel like my game developed a lot the last three years for being in those situations,” Booker said. “But what’s honestly taking the load off me is (a) collective team effort.”
