The Boston Celtics are none too pleased with Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse for being on the court for a crucial turnover by Celtics’ forward Jayson Tatum during the Raptors double-overtime Game 5 win.
According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick, “Sources say the Celtics were furious about this play, as Nurse had come out to the corner of the court to get a better look at how Boston handled his defensive scheme and, in their minds, created the illusion of a passing target for Tatum in the process.”
For his part, Tatum took blame for the turnover, and did not blame Nurse.
Regardless, given how exciting this series has been, fans will have something special to look forward to when the two teams take the court for Game 7 on Friday.
