Chiefs’ Charvarius Ward Out with Fractured Hand

1 Min Read

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Charvarius Ward suffered a fractured hand during the Chiefs Week 1 victory over the Houston Texans on Thursday night, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Per the report, the Chiefs will re-examine Ward’s injury on Friday and at that time they will detemine a timetable for his return to the field.

Ward left the game during the third quarter, and joins defensive tackle Khalen Saunders (who left the game) and defensive end Alex Ohafor as a recent injured player.

The loss of Ward further depletes the Chiefs defensive backfield as Bashaud Breeland is currently serving a four-game suspension.
