Rams, Jalen Ramsey Agree to Contract Extension

The Los Angeles Rams and star cornerback Jalen Ramsey have agreed to terms on a five-year, $105 million contract extension that will become the largest contract ever given to a cornerback in league history, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Ramsey’s agent, David Mulugheta, made the announcement of the new contract, per Schefter, while the Rams officially announced the new deal on Wednesday, but did not provide financial details.

With the the new contract, Ramsey becomes the first defensive back in NFL history to sign a deal worth over $100 million, and the $71.2 million signing bonus he will receive is the largest guaranteed to a defensive back.
