The Tennessee Titans have re-worked the contract of veteran safety Kevin Byard which has created an additional $6.12 million in cap space, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.
Byard, 27, will still make $9.1 million during the 2020 season. He signed a five-year, $70.5 million contract extension with the Titans back in 2019.
Byard is considered one of the top safeties in the NFL, and with him re-structuring his contract, the Titans are more equipped if they want to pursue some help at cornerback with the injury to Adoree Jackson.
