The Minnesota Vikings have placed veteran defensive end Danielle Hunter on injured reserve, according to an official team announcement.

In a corresponding move, the Vikings have promoted kicker Chase McLaughlin from their practice squad.

Hunter is required, per the new modified rules regarding the injured reserve, to miss at least three weeks before he will be eligible to return to the field.

Hunter has been missed, and been limited in practice since suffering a rumored neck injury back in mid-August.
