Adam Gase Says Jets Won’t Trade Quinnen Williams

New York Jets head coach Adam Gase has shut the door on the rumors that say the team is shopping defensive lineman Quinnen Williams ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline by stating Williams will not be traded.

“He’s going to be here” Gase said, according to SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano. Gase added that there’s “nothing” to the “false” rumors saying Williams would be traded.

It’s hard to gauge how honest this is, as the Jets’ season continues to spiral downhill and they have already begun trading off assets.

With Gase on the hot seat, and the team looking to build up their draft pick vault, Williams may not be completely off the table during trade talks.
