The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made it official, completing a one-year contract with wide receiver Antonio Brown, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Although Brown is officially a Buc, he won’t be able to play until Week 9, after he clears COVID-19 testing. brown cannot practice until Week 9, but can attend team meetings as well as train with the team’s conditioning staff in Tampa, in the meantime.
Brown’s deal will pay him $1 million in base salary and bonuses, and can reach as much as $2.5 million in total. Brown will earn a $750k bonus if the Bucs win the Super Bowl, and also has an additional three bonuses, each totaling $250,000, for milestones related to receptions, yards, and touchdowns.
The addition of the 32-year old Brown was at the request of quarterback Tom Brady.
