The Arizona Cardinals have signed veteran safety T.J. Ward to their practice squad, according to an official team announcement.
Ward, 33, has not played in the NFL since 2017, when he was a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and did not put forth a particularly strong performance.
However, with the Cardinals ravaged at safety, and with Ward familiar with defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, from their time together with the Denver Broncos, it seems inevitable that Ward will make it up to the main roster.
Ward collected 30 tackles and three passes defended in 12 games, including 5 starts, for the Buccaneers during the 2017 season.
