Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has not asked the team for a trade following their decision to bench him and start rookie Tua Tagovailoa, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.
“I like playing more than I like sitting watching,” Fitzpatrick said. The veteran quarterback has yet to consider whether he’d be comfortable in a backup role beyond this season.
Fitzpatrick is under contract for the 2020 season, and led Miami to a 3-3 record to this point. The Dolphins are set to start Tagovailoa following their bye in Week 7.
