The New York Jets may be on the verge of a complete roster overhaul and talent fire sale as their dreadful winless season lumbers on.
According to the New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta, the Jets are shopping defensive lineman Quinnen Williams ahead of the NFL trade deadline. The report goes on to say that the Jets would be looking to land more than a second-round draft pick in exchange for Williams.
According to SNY beat writer Ralph Vacchiano, the term “shopping” is a strong word to describe the situation, but the Jets may be keeping their ears open to any potential offers for their young defensive lineman.
Williams is graded as one of the leagues best run-stoppers along the interior, per Pro Football Focus.
