The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to trade stud linebacker Kwon Alexander to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Saints will also send veteran linebacker Kiko Alonso to the Niners as a part of the deal. Alexander, 26, has three seasons left on his four-year, $54 million contract.

Alonso was placed on the reserve/PUP list at the beginning of the year and missed the first six games, and while he has since been activated, he has not yet appeared in a game this season.
