New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara missed practice on Thursday due to a right foot injury, but he is feeling confident that he will be able to play when the Saints take on the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

“I’m feeling good,” Kamara said, according to NBC Sports’ Charean Williams. “I’ll be all right.”

“For everybody, honestly, I’m going to tell the truth,” Kamara said. “We’ve still got to play. We don’t get an automatic bye week because Drew’s not playing or because anybody’s not playing. We’ve got to play still. It is what it is. [Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill] get paid to play just like Drew gets paid to play, so they’ll be ready.”

With quarterback Drew Brees out for the next few games after suffering a collapsed lung and fractured ribs, the Saints can ill-afford to lose any more weapons on offense.

It is unclear who head coach Sean Payton will tap as the starting quarterback on Sunday, but it sounds as though Kamara will be ready to go.
