Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians Says Antonio Brown Remains a Strike Away

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians knows the risk the team took on when they signed troubled wide receiver Antonio Brown, and states that the veteran wideout is on a “one strike” policy with the team.

A report earlier this week from the Miami Herald’s David Ovalle detailed an incident Brown was involved in within his gated community in which he destroyed a surveillance camera and threw a bicycle at a security shed back on October 15th. Things seemed to have cooled down since, and Arians says that Brown has been a model citizen during his short tenure with the team.

“He’s been a model citizen,” Arians said, during an appearance on SiriusXM Radio. “If and when he’s not, we’ll move on. He knows that. Our team knows that. … I don’t really think we’re going to have any problems. We haven’t had any so far and I wouldn’t anticipate any.”

The Bucs issued the following statement earlier this week in response to the report: “When Antonio joined us, we were clear about what we expected and required of him. Thus far, he has met all the expectations we have in place,” the team said.
