Bucks Acquiring Jrue Holiday, Bogdan Bogdanovic

1 Min Read

The Milwaukee Bucks are doing their best to improve the roster around superstar reigning back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo for a championship push and as a way to convince him to sign long-term with the franchise, pulling off a number of moves on Monday to signal those efforts.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Andrew Lopez, Milwaukee has reached agreements on two trades, one with the New Orleans Pelicans, and another with the Sacramento Kings.

The Bucks have sent Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, and three first round picks to the Pelicans in exchange for point guard Jrue Holiday, considered one of the better two-way players in the league.

In addition, the Pelicans will return the 60th pick in the 2020 draft to Milwaukee, and includes a pair of first-round pick swaps (in 2024 and 2026).

The Kings acquire versatile forward Donte DiVincenzo, D.J. Wilson and Ersan Ilyasova in a deal that will send Bogdan Bogdanovic to Milwaukee.

Holida, 30, has spent the last seven seasons in New Orleans. Bogdanovic, 28, brings Milwaukee a versatile wing and volume 3-point shooter.
