Cardinals Place Jordan Phillips on Injured Reserve

1 Min Read

The Arizona Cardinals have placed veteran defensive tackle Jordan Phillips on the injured reserve due to a hamstring injury that kept him out in Week 9 action.

In a corresponding move, the Cardinals promoted defensive lineman Michael Dogbe from their practice squad, but they remain thin along the defensive front with Phillips now joining Corey Peters on the injured reserve list. Peters will miss the remainder of the season.

Phillips inked a three-year, $30 million contract with the Cardinals during the offseason, but has not played at the level he did during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills, particularly last season where he posted 9.5 sacks and 16 quarterback hits.

Phillips has managed only 2 sacks and 3 quarterback hits for the Cardinals this season.
