Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz may lose some playing time to rookie Jalen Hurts during Monday Night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
According to ESPN’s Tim McManus, Hurts has seen a noticeable increase in first team work with the team throughout the week, despite Wentz being the starter.
Wentz has struggled throughout the season, and despite head coach Doug Pederson again stating that Wentz was his unquestioned starter, it appears the Eagles are going to give their second round pick a chance to make some noise, starting this week.
Wentz has been having his worst season as a pro. According to ESPN Stats & Information, Wentz is first among all players in interceptions (14), fumbles (10) and sacks (40), ranks 32nd in completion percentage (58.4), 31st in yards per attempt (6.2) and currently has the worst off-target percentage (23%) among all qualifiers.
