Eagles Expected to Sign Jordan Howard

1 Min Read

The Philadelphia Eagles are on the verge of bringing back former running back Jordan Howard following his recent release from the Miami Dolphins.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are expected to sign Howard to their practice squad, following his meeting with the team earlier this week.

Howard was dumped by the Dolphins following a brutally ineffective short stint with the team that saw him average a putrid 1.2 yards per carry.

Howard was not claimed on waivers and is now an unrestricted free agent. Should Howard officially sign with the Eagles, he will be eligible to practice with the team next week, assuming COVID-19 protocols are successful.

Howard had success during his lone season in Philly in which he averaged 4.4 yards per carry and scored 6 touchdowns over the course of six games.
