Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is expected to play, and will start, as the Lions take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9 action.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Stafford is fully expected to play after he tested negative for COVID-19 throughout the week.

Stafford was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday, but he will be without top wide receiver Kenny Golladay who is out with a hip injury.
