The Detroit Lions have placed quarterback Matthew Stafford on the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to an official team announcement.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Stafford is “considered a high-risk, close contact from a non team member”, and his most recent contract came back on Monday, meaning that he will be eligible to come off the list on Sunday and available to play against the Minnesota Vikings.

However, if Stafford’s tests don’t come back negative on Friday, it will change things moving forward, particularly his status for the Vikings game.

Stafford’s wife, Kelly, has been keeping fans updated on Instagram, saying that Stafford has not tested positive.
