The Indiana Pacers still have their eyes set on acquiring forward Gordon Hayward in an effort to bring him back to his home state of Indiana. Gordon played at Butler during his college career.

According to The New York Times’ Marc Stein, the Pacers are still working on ways in which they can complete a sign-and-trade deal with the Boston Celtics that would bring Hayward to the organization.

Indiana joins at least several other teams, including the New York Knicks, who are trying to bring Hayward in.

Hayward officially opted out of his $34 million contract and became an unrestricted free agent.
