Panthers’ Christian McCaffrey Expected to Split Carries with Mike Davis

The Carolina Panthers will be taking a cautious approach as running back Christian McCaffrey makes his return to the field from a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, McCaffrey is expected to “rotate series” with Mike Davis “to keep both of them fresh” as the Panthers take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

While the Panthers will split the workload for now, McCaffrey is likely to see his share increase in the coming weeks.
