The Carolina Panthers have officially ruled out running back Christian McCaffrey for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.
McCaffrey will miss the game due to an ailing shoulder, but the belief is that he will be able to play again this season, although Carolina may want to be cautious.
With McCaffrey out, the Panthers will again lean on Mike Davis, who has taken the lead back role in games that McCaffrey has missed this season.
