Pelicans Extend Qualifying Offer to Brandon Ingram

The New Orleans Pelicans have extended a qualifying offer to forward Brandon Ingram, according to Yahoo Sports’ Keith Smith.
Ingram now becomes a restricted free agent, and the qualifying offer is reportedly worth $9.5 million. New Orleans now has the right of first refusal.
Ingram earned Most Improve Player honors last season, and is considered to be one of the most coveted free agents available this offseason, however the Pelicans now have the choice to match any contract that Ingram is offered.
Ingram clocked in 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game during his first season in New Orleans, earning All-Star honors along the way.
