Rams’ Sean McVay Calls Out Jared Goff for Ball Security Issues

1 Min Read

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay is calling out the performance of quarterback Jared Goff following their loss on the Sunday to the San Francisco 49ers.

“Our quarterback has got to take better care of the football,” McVay said regarding Goff, according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com.

Goff had a dismal performance on the day, completing just 19 of his 36 pass attempts for 198 yards, two interceptions, and a lost fumble.

“We’re not taking good enough care of the football and that’s something that’s got to change, otherwise I’m going to continue to sit up here and say this week in and week out,” McVay said. “It just can’t continue to happen.”

Goff has turned the ball over 14 times this season – 10 interceptions and 4 lost fumbles.

“It comes down to us executing and ultimately myself executing and taking care of the football and throwing it where it needs to be thrown and being smart with it,” Goff said.

The Rams will look to get things corrected as they take on the Arizona Cardinals next week.
