Sixers’ Daryl Morey Believes Joel Embiid Can Become One of the Best Big Men in History

Philadelphia 76ers new president of basketball operations Daryl Morey has a talented roster, with a pair of superstars, on his new team, and he believes one of them can reach astronomical heights in his career.

Morey is a big believer in Sixers’ center Joel Embiid, who is still only 26 years old, and seems to be the long-term cornerstone of the team, despite trade rumors that have popped up.

“Joel is similar to a lot of dominant big men of the past and I think he frankly has the talent level to be in the list of some of the best of all time,” Morey said, according to NBC Philadelphia’s John Clark.

Embiid is improving his gaming, adding a three point shot last season, en route to 23.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3,0 assists and 1.3 blocks for Philadelphia.
