The Houston Texans appear to be on the verge of mass-sweeping changes this offseason as they continue to navigate through a brutal 2020 season.
According to CBS Sports’s Jason La Canfora, Texans executive Jack Easterby has not shown interest in retaining the team’s general manager gig, and has not been in consideration for the job.
Additionally, interim head coach Romeo Crennel is not considered to be a candidate to keep the head coaching job on a permanent basis, as changes are expected in early 2021.
The organization is working with search firm Korn Ferry, and they have compiled a list of general manager candidates and are in the process of beginning to outline a timeline to conduct interviews with executives who are currently not employed by any NFL teams, with the process expected to accelerate following the Thanksgiving holiday.
Multiple interviews are expected to be conducted prior to the end of the regular season.
Easterby is currently serving as the assistant general manager, but is likely to not retain that position.
