Thunder Promote Mark Daigneault to Head Coach

The Oklahoma City Thunder have promoted assistant Mark Daigneault to the head coach position, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Daigneault, 35, will take over for Billy Donovan who chose to leave the organization after the expiration of his contract. Donovan took the head coaching job with the Chicago Bulls.
Daigneault has been rising through the coaching ranks in the organization. Daigneault spent five seasons as the head coach of the OKC Blue’s, the team’s G-League affiliate, where he collected three division titles and posted a .572 winning percentage.
