The Tennessee Titans have informed veteran pass rushing linebacker Vic Beasley Jr. that they will be releasing him on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Tavon Davenport.

Beasley was brought in during free agency, via a one-year $9.5 million deal, and was expected to be a significant contributor on defense this season.

However, Beasley managed to play in just 24% defensive snaps for the Titans this season, collecting three tackles and a forced fumble after making his Titans debut in Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Beasley reported to camp 10 days late due to an unexcused absence that resulted in a $500,000 fine, and was placed on the non-football injury list, and didn’t endear himself to his new team.

Per the report, Beasley’s questionable work ethic and passion for the game reportedly led to Beasley becoming a free agent.
