Washington quarterback Alex Smith was forced out of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, and would miss the entire second half after suffering a calf injury, and apparently Smith’s injury is not considered to be serious.

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, X-rays performed on Smith’s injured calf came back negative, and it appears that the calf strain may not keep him on the sidelines for long.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Smith has not been ruled out for Washington’s upcoming tilt against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Smith threw for 57 yards and one interceptions before being taken out of the game, with Dwayne Haskins taking over. Haskins completed seven out of 12 passes for 51 yards, helping Washington top San Francisco.
