Christian McCaffrey Ready to Return

1 Min Read

Carolina Panthers superstar running back Christian McCaffrey is set to return after missing the last three games due to a shoulder injury, according to ESPN’s David Newton.

While it is a bit of good news for the Panthers ahead of their tilt against the Denver Broncos this upcoming Sunday, they could be without two of their top three wide receivers as DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel were among eight players placed on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday.

Additionally, defensive tackle Derrick Brown, defensive tackle Zach Kerr, offensive tackle Greg Little, punter Michael Palardy and wide receiver Ishmael Hyman, were also placed on the list.

“I hope it’s par for the course just for 2020,” McCaffrey said of playing the season during a pandemic. “It would be amazing if on January 1st it all went away. That’s really what we’ve all learned in this whole year and the reason that we’re doing this over the phone.

“You’ve got to be able to adapt, and you can’t make excuses. You’ve got to move on and do the best you can with what you have. That’s football with injuries that come along. And then you have COVID.”
