The Detroit Lions have placed veteran defensive back Desmond Trufant and veteran defensive tackle Danny Shelton on the injured reserve list, according to an official team announcement, which could end their seasons.

The Lions signed Trufant back in March, after he was released from the Atlanta Falcons, and has played in 6 games this season, collecting 20 total tackles, one interception, and four passes defended.

Shelton was a key cog along the defensive line for the New England Patriots, and has started 11 games for the Lions this season, but could miss the entire season due to a knee injury he suffered during the Lions game against the Houston Texans.
