Mets Interested in George Springer

The New York Mets have interest in a number of players this offseason, and that includes longtime Houston Astros outfielder George Springer.
According to SNY’s Any Martino, Springer, who is currently a free agent, could potentially be the top target for the Mets this offseason.
Springer is also drawing interest from the Astros, who remain “heavily in the mix”, and is drawing interest from several teams.
The Mets also reportedly have interest in catcher James McCann, who they have been more aggressively pursuing than J.T. Realmuto.
Springer, 31, slashed .265/.359/.540 and belted 14 home runs for the Astors last season, and continued his impressive play on defense.
