New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will be making his return this Sunday when the Saints take on the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Brees, 41, has been out for the past four games due to 11 broken ribs and a punctured lung, but the team feels that Brees is healthy to play as he has been cleared by doctors.

The game will mark the first meeting between Brees and Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a marquee matchup that could potentially be a shootout between the two high-powered offenses.

The Saints (10-3) went 3-1 without Brees, relying on Taysom Hill to start at quarterback during his absence, and they now project to have the second seed in the NFL Playoffs.

Jameis Winston will backup Brees, with Hill returning to his role as an offensive swiss army knife.
