In a shocking turn of events, the Houston Astros are re-signing veteran outfielder Michael Brantley, according to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Brantley had agreed to join the Toronto Blue Jays, joining his close friend George Springer following his signing.
However, the report was quickly disputed, leaving many to wonder just where Brantley was heading if he wasn’t going to end up with the Blue Jays.
The Astros came back in the picture and have agreed with Brantley on a two-year, $32 million contract, marking his second two-year pact with Houston.
