Bears Likely Retaining Matt Nagy, Ryan Pace as Chuck Pagano Announces Retirement

1 Min Read

Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano, who also served as the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts during his career, has officially announced his retirement.

Pagano, 60, spent the last two season as the defensive coordinator of the Bears, taking over for Vic Fangio when he departed to take the head coaching job for the Denver Broncos.

Pagano’s unit has been among the league’s best throughout his tenure.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson, the Bears are likely to retain head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace, despite chatter that the team could move on from both following a disappointing season.
