The Los Angeles Chargers have announced the firing of head coach Anthony Lynn, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
A strong finish to the 2020 season wasn’t enough to save Lynn’s job, who led the Chargers to a 12-4 record only two seasons ago. Despite the strong end, the Chargers managed only a 7-9 record, but saw promising play from rookie quarterback Justin Herbert.
Throughout his tenure as the tenure as the head coach of the Chargers, Lynn posted a 33-31 record.
The Chargers are now the sixth NFL team to move on from their head coach this offseason.
