The Los Angeles Chargers are moving forward with their search for a new head coach following the dismissal of Anthony Lynn after four years at the helm, and are targeting a certain offensive coordinator who had a long run as an NFL head coach.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Chargers have formally requested an interview with New York Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, who served as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys prior to being the OC for the Giants last season.
Garrett compiled a 85-67 record across his nine seasons at the helm of the Cowboys, but could not find similar success in the playoffs.
The Chargers are also looking to interview Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who is also drawing interest from the New York Jets, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.
