The Jacksonville Jaguars are meeting with former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer on Friday and things could pickup quickly in hiring him as their next head coach.
According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Jaguars will meet with Meyer today to discuss the head coaching job, and while the team has another interview scheduled, meeting with Meyer is a big step in the process.
Meyer had been rumored to be the preferred pick of the Jags, and rumors have circulated stating the Meyer is planning to take the Jaguars job, going as far as to already starting the process of building his coaching staff.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars and Meyer have bee in communication recently, and the in-person meeting can accelerate everything.
