Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus isn’t interested in interviewing for the head coaching job with the Houston Texans and has turned down their request to interview him.
According to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson, the Texans had requested Eberflus prior to their official hiring of Nick Caserios earlier this week, but Eberflus rejected their request, and will instead interview with the New York Jets and the Los Angeles Chargers about their head coaching vacancies.
The issues continue to pile up for the Texans, after a disastrous season they have also upset quarterback Deshaun Watson by not including him in the hiring process for general manager, and there is talk that Watson could make a formal trade request.
